The VE session will be held at:
MEADOWWOOD COUNTY FIRE DEPT
348 BOWKERVILLE RD
ASSEMBLY HALL - LOWER LEVEL
FITZWILLIAM, NH 03447
All examination elements will be administered, and walk-ins will be allowed.
Contact: MICHAEL W MURPHY
(603)819-1849
Email: WA1VKO@ARRL.NET
VEC: ARRL/VEC
This in not a CCDX Sponsored Event.
If you want to attend, be sure to bring a photo ID, or two non-photo id's, the original plus a photocopy of your FCC issued amateur license, the original plus a photocopy of all CSCE's that you are claiming for credit, and the 2010 test session fee of 15 dollars. Form NCVEC 605's will be available at the session.
ITEMS THAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:
1. One photo ID, or two non-photo ID's. A driver's license is the most common form of ID used. If two non-photo ID's are used, insure that one has your current address.
2. Your Social Security number or FCC Registration Number. Failure to provide a SSN or FRN number will delay or prevent your application from being processed. To obtain an FRN via the CORES system, visit www.fcc.gov and select "Commission Registration System" item from the bar on the left side of the page.
3. If you currently have an amateur license, bring your Original FCC-issued license, and a photocopy. The photocopy is kept by the examination team. The original will be examined and promptly returned to you. If you do not bring your original license it can delay any upgrade you might earn.
4. If you have any "Certificates of Successful Completion of Examination", or CSCE's, you need to bring the Original plus photocopies of them as well.
5. The 2010 test session fee is
$15.00. This applies even if you are upgrading without taking a test. If you
retake a failed exam element you may be required to pay another fee.
Additional Info:
2. Bring a calculator. If you bring one, make sure it's not a programmable calculator, or be prepared to remove the batteries to prove the memories are erased.
3. Only NCVEC form 605's can be used at examination sessions. In general, the VE team will have NCVEC form 605's on hand, and will not have FCC form 605's. But it's a good idea to check just to be sure.
4. For License renewals and change of address filed directly with the FCC, FCC form 605's must be used. Filing with the FCC is free and may be done via mail or on-line. Renewals will only be accepted within 90 days of license expiration.5. Renewals and changes filed with the ARRL/VEC are done using NCVEC 605's. Filing with the ARRL/VEC is free to ARRL members, non-members must pay a $12.00 fee. Vanity callsign applications cannot be filed with the ARRL/VEC. Renewals and changes filed with the ARRL/VEC should be sent to ARRL/VEC, 225 Main St, Newington CT 06111
6. It's always a good idea to check with the VE team to make sure there are no special requirements or if you require some.
